Like you say, Letsrun is flawed and also the best running site on the internet. Not only is it the best generic running site on the internet, it's also the best coverage of women's running by a significant margin. I enjoy Alison Wade's newsletter (your criticism notwithstanding) but it's got far less content than Letsrun, and who knows if it will even stick around. Letsrun has a multidecade track record of being one of the few sports sites on the internet that provides nearly equal coverage for women's sports as men's, and yet is consistently bashed for being sexist. Gotta love it.
I'm all for more running sites. More power to anyone who wants to make one. As for forums where people are required to register and be somewhat well-mannered, there's always runningahead.
