Speaking of the flu, according to the Telegraph (which I recommend if you don't read it - disable Java), Covid is now less dangerous to the population at large than the flu: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/02/01/covid-really-deadly-flu-omicron-came-along/ The CFR has dropped in the US from around 1.75% to around 0.3% and is now comparable in this country to the flu. (And with home tests for Covid readily available, I would guess no more people get tested and reported officially for Covid than for the flu, historically.)

I do think everyone over 50 should get boosted. Hospitals are under pressure and it's unnecessary, right?

However bad things are in Boulder, they're worse in Seattle. Just took my daughter to the Museum of Flight this morning, and if I had $1 for every Covid related sign I saw, I could have made back the $25 entry fee and then some. Is it necessary to move to get away from it? I hope not, but it seems more and more likely, especially if you have kids and don't want them to wear masks for the rest of their lives.

The amount of "misinformation" a year or two ago, that has now become truth, is unbelievable. The fear mongers love clinging to every last bit of perceived truth until the next variant arrived so they can deflect and blame on "science is ever changing." The more fear, the more perceived power and control these idiots believe they are. Cowards behind screens claiming what everyone else's responsibilities should be. Jordan Peterson was right: Make your own bed. And hopefully look in the mirror occasionally
