Yeah, The Federalist is engaging in some dodgy reporting there in that one meme. That kind of stuff is precisely like some woke outlet breathlessly reporting some act of racism and then you look into it and find out it wasn't that. All that article shows you is elite virtue signalling with vague commitments, not that anyone is coming for my burger. I find odd policy pro-natalism (or at least suspicion of anti-natalist policy wonks) when all this "we should stop eating meat" stuff is a way to try to make ever larger populations work, not a way of reducing them. That is what "eat more grains 1.0" was all about. "Hey, the earth can hold billions of people so long as we all eat wheat and live with sub-optimal health". Eating grains instead of meat has always been about growing populations at the expense of each individuals health.
