The marathon was great. I am past getting excited to watch these things because the coverage is so bad, but I always get sucked in and enjoy it. I was sorry to see Kipchoge have a bad day but he is 38. No one gets to win forever.
Desir is so awful. I wandered over to her Instagram thanks to your post, and I really wish I hadn't. What gets me is how little actual running she does.
1) We won't really be sure who won for at least six months when the doping results are exposed.
2) I'm confident that a 1975 Bill Rodgers wearing Vaporfly's with laces that stayed tied, instead of plimsoles, would have beaten Chebet by at least a minute. Call me old and jaded, cuz I am.
