Last-minute heads-up: The Portland Track Festival

Which is only part of a weekend filthy with fast people circling tracks

Trackland (or “Tracklnd,” which is how British announcers would pronounce “Trackland” anyway) is streaming a high-quality meet on Friday and Saturday—the Portland Track Festival.

Since the elite events will start about an hour two hours after this “newsletter” goes out (6:45 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time, soon to become Pacific Permanent Time), I recommend that you peruse the entry lists and decide whether to spend $5.99 for both nights, with a percentage of all purchases funneled into the prize purses. If you’re like most of the people who read this newsletter for the running content—that is, are some combination of older and bored—I would guess based on previous experience with Trackland productions that you won’t be sorry for tuning in.
