This is the article I was introduced to Mr. Beck. My buddy and his wife came over for a wing fest and he brought a printed copy of this plan. After hours he convinced me to run the gambit with him. I hadn't done a track workout in 17 years.

In 2000 we finished 7th and 11th overall at the Lakefront Marathon. My buddy still comments on how we did a cool down run like it was nothing. No doubt the 20k, 25k, and 30k efforts helped here. I could tell many stories about this plan. The last time I fired it up I ran a 3:06:15 at 54 years old at the same Marathon. That was 2015. Not spectacular, but that was coming in with nothing but plodding ultra miles.

Bullet proof.

Treadmill. I haven't run outdoors in Tallahassee since maybe June 10th. It just isn't worth every run being a sufferfest when it's already 86 by 9am and the dewpoint pushing 80.
