Solid and fair post. It's rare when writers in the running space even admit when they were wrong/made a mistake. Hindsight is 20/20 so it might not have been dumb at the time given the facts you knew then.

I think Kara was for sure hurt by Al Sal, and I thought at one time he was a good Catholic. His 14 Minutes book seemed well-written (at least the parts I read), but it sounds hollow now, because he is trash and dead in this sport. My only concerns with Kara are these things:

1) If this was truly happening when it did, I'd be telling Adam, and then bailing Adam out of jail after he cracked Al Sal's skull.

2) She's releasing this now to promote her book, it seems. The timing seems disingenuous, and I'm someone who feels Kara was the true victim as well.

Both/and is a thing people forget...

I also think the affluent white women runner thing is underrated--there is a herd mentality, even on Blogsnark where they troll other white female instafluencers, to gang up on others. Not unlike LetsRun--but instead of incel kiddos, these are older, bitter women (even fast women). So two sides of the same coin. Blogsnark is basically a female version of LRC.

Regarding Kara, I think even more people would believe her had she not timed it to coincide with her book release. Had she released it randomly, or went to the police/Adam right away, I think even more would believe her and there'd be no doubt at all against her.
