The United States is a dictatorship: With legislators shredding the Bill of Rights, the government is the enemy of the American people (I)
Not one word of that is untrue or remotely exaggerated
On Thursday morning, the independent journalists Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger testified at the “Hearing on the Weaponization of the Federal Government on the Twitter Files” for the House Judiciary Committee, in the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.
Translated, that means the two men recited to members of U S. Congress many of the criminal misdeeds done by members of that same U.S. Congress and other arms of the government, all in the service of illegally censoring Americans for telling the truth while filling their minds—very successfully—with bullshit.
Obviously, this was not going to be well received by Democrats in Congress, given that these people are responsible for an enormous amount of incredibly diabolical lying and voice-suppression across all pertinent media and Internet platforms in recent years.
Yet it was far more of an outright freak show than anyone expected. It was degrees more chaotic, undignified, and pathetic than these hearings—classic theaters nonsense, deflection, and remarkably selective memory recollection—typically are.
It was an excruciating and terrifying affirmation of how wrecked the country is and how much worse it's still guaranteed to become.
First, all of the reporting included under the “Twitter Files” heading is accessible at the link below.
For those requiring a clickless summary, this implacably growing pile of reporting reveals that Twitter and other platforms flat-out censored, at the behest of the U.S. Government, accurate information about all things covid, Ukraine, the 2020 election, and anything else up for public debate while using the media and a vast array of quasi-governmental think-tanks (the primary offender a product of Hillary Clinton's celebrated Department of State) to themselves spread disinformation. When Twitter pushed back, members of Congress and White House types would commission members of the media to write hit pieces about Twitter describing how the platform was letting Russians ruin everything.
Despite anything you may have read or seen, what's in the Twitter Files is not up for debate. All of the reporting is based on electronic communications between Twitter and the FBI, the White House, congressional Democrats, and the various “NGO” proxies of the CIA, Homeland Security, and Mi6. I know this sounds like a novel outline written by a badly shitfaced Tom Clancy, but it's all real and I'm understanding the sheer obscene sprawl of it all.
The story in the Twitter Files isn't Twitter or any private company. It's the untrammeled, bloodthirsty greed, disregard for basic realities, arrogance, turpitude, and ultimately the progressive collapse of the United States. We've moved from a quietly oligarchic “democracy” to an openly oligarchic Wokism-ravaged shithole, a gigantic Banana Republic with snowy winters. That its avatar is a churlish, brain-dead pisspot who had already stained and embarrassed himself by serially lying even before I finished high school. A fucking pants-shitting bucket of corrupt overseas dealings and a crackhead of a son who says his unwieldy dong has plagued him with body dysmorphia. If there were anything good about the cartoonishly idiotic Biden family, its members would make great John Irving characters.
Glenn Greenwald covered the hearings on his Thursday edition of System Update, and The Hill did a segment on them on Friday morning.
Taibbi's prepared statement to Congress is here:
Shellenberger's own prepared statement is here:
Taibbi's reaction to being castigated by a battery of fraudtards, the dissembling-lawyer heir to a colossal fortune installed in Congress specifically to steal even more from others, and longtime DNC whores like the sneering, Chihuahua-faced Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is here:
And finally, Schellenberger's recap of the insane events:
Note in either of the videos how Stacey Plaskett, a moron from the U.S. Virgin Islands who’s not even a member of Congress, farcically tries to discredit Taibbi's credentials, then has the nerve to turn away and airily ignore his mic-drop answer, her mouth dumbly agape, displaying staggering shortcomings both mental and moral.
Even worse was Sylvia Garcia, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Texas, who appears to legitimately not understand how either Twitter or press freedoms work. Yes, she was being adversarial on purpose, but her bafflement was real.
Now, I would like to trust those of you preparing to mount protests have done your homework, and are up to speed on the testimony and the Twitter Files. But I cannot, because some of you are averse to the concept if informed rejoinders and nonrandom discourse. Worse, some of you argue with points I make while displaying the very basis of your ignorance: a combination of not reading or somehow mistrusting my sources and ignoring obvious MSM lies, contradictions, and walk-backs even when these are literally graphically illustrated.
(Part II of this is coming soon.)
