Some quick responses.

1. Women *volunteer* as research participants at a much higher rate than men in psychology (and related) studies. When we see female rates of less than 50% participation, it is often a result of research design or method of targeted recruitment.

2. Let’s apply your economic argument (men’s sports generate more income, therefore men should be studied more) to the health system. Women are more frequently diagnosed with sleep disorders, mental health conditions etc. Women cost the system more, so should be overrepresnted in psychiatry research. They’re not (e.g., https://ajp.psychiatryonline.org/doi/10.1176/appi.ajp.21070758)

3. I am not sure why biology has more to do with choices to become a kindergarten teacher than social indoctrination. It is in relatively recent history that teaching as a profession shifted to be female-dominated. https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-0-387-73317-3_2

Our lack of male teachers in early education is not to be celebrated.

I don’t do it because as a competitive runner, it’s unethical and illegal.

Kevin - This is unfair. I feel you misquoted me and misunderstand/misrepresent how hard I work. I'd be happy to talk to you to help clarify anything!

This is so ridiculous. I am not sure I could run a 2:45 marathon right now and no way this old chick has any PRs near mine.

I understand where you are coming from. But, you do not know anything about me. You don't know if I have been drug tested, or what supplements I take, or what my runs and workouts are like, or how I approach training in general, or even what I really look like. My photos are moments in time and not necessarily how I look. I think we can see each other's perspectives; but honestly , I may be beating a dead horse, I can't defend and defend. You will believe what you want. I'm signing off here. Have a good holiday weekend.
