So where do I get running content? I loved the old Running Times, where is that type media to be found? I am willing to subscribe , but to what? Runner's world? Podium runner, up in flames! Come on I need some help here
When athletics finally became sort of professional one of the supposed benefits was that a distance runner could do a road race every couple of weeks, pick up a thousand bucks or so and pay his rent even if he didn't have a shoe contract. But the day of living as an independent road whore are long gone unless you're East African. I recall an interview with Bill Donakowski after he ran his 2:10 while fully employed and he made points similar to those in the Post. Both of my sons are working full time and running seriously. It's hard for me to look at their running and think what about it would be much better for them if they were running full time.
two web sites I like, just a reader not a business partner
Runners Tribe
and Canadian Running
Off topic a bit but...
