Stephen Colbert was legitimately talented as a performer, but he made some kind of devil's bargain that went south in a big way. Either he completely lacks the self-awareness to see how pathetic he has become, or somebody has some serious dirt on him that they're holding over his head and each taping of his show is basically a hostage video.
Colbert, Stewart and Oliver used to be funny and clever while slyly revealing the absurdities that the propagandists wanted us to swallow. Now they're shameless mouthpieces for them. When classic liberalism morphed into The Upside Down, they followed.
