In any case, despite being someone who rabidly advocated mask-wearing back when the CDC was advising non-medical professionals not to wear them, I love this blog so much. I have come to detest the statements "be safe" and "mask up." I run perhaps 30 to 40 mpw with no mask on paths wide enough to maintain 6 feet as long as people aren't walking abreast, and no one has said anything to me yet (though that may have something to do with the fact that I run pushing my adorable child in a jogging stroller.) However, I spend an inordinate amount of time imagining the disparaging thoughts and comments being made about my maskless self by the masked pedestrians and joggers that I pass. It's crazy.
Does your library quarantine books? At mine, you cannot return books at any time you want to, because they quarantine them for 72 hours before touching them / redistributing them, and they need to keep track of when books were returned to start the quarantine. I find this similarly absurd. It's fortunate that Amazon packages are immune to Covid germs, or we'd all be dead.
