Sociopathic running impostor becomes fodder for Wokish scholarship
Underlying the demented hilarity of this kind of "research" is the not-so-funny ruinous intent, which spiders into every aspect of society
Latoya Shauntay Snell is slothful, morbidly obese bully posing a runner, a fitness advocate, and a victim of harassment. She used to complete marathons at a fast walking pace, but she was about half her current mass then. She regularly lies about the number of marathons she’s finished and other “minutiae” and doubles down on these lies when confronted, blocking and hiding from her serious critics in the process.
Someone recently pointed out to me that Snell co-starred in a 2021 open-access “research paper” titled “Mind Your Business and Leave My Rolls Alone’: A Case Study of Fat Black Women Runners’ Decolonial Resistance.”
To my understanding, any black woman who straightens her hair is “colonizing” herself and would thus not be on board with such characterizations. But honestly, it’s probably better not to make too deep a dive there. Just recognize that “decolonize” is another common word in the fetishist Wokish glossary, like “intersectionality” and “disruptor.”
The abstract begins with this:
The Black female body has been vilified, surveilled, and viewed as ‘obese’ and irresponsible for centuries in Western societies. For just as long, some Black women have resisted their mischaracterizations. Instead they have embraced a ‘fat’ identity. But little research has demonstrated how Black fat women participate in sport. The purpose of this study is to show how Black fat women who run use social media to unapologetically celebrate Blackness and fatness.
So, here’s how some “social scientists” are spending grant money. They’re asserting that fat black women prefer “fat” to “obese,” that almost no one has researched how this subset of the population participates in sports, and that scrolling through a couple of Instagram accounts and copying and pasting what’s there constitutes an example of such research.
The paper focuses heavily on the notion of how fat black women beginning to participate in white things like running represents an act of “decolonial resistance.” This ignores the fact that fat black women have been participating in road races for as long as road races have been held in places where fat black women live. But if you read through this entire mess of a paper, you’ll find that trying to count individual problematic elements is a fool’s errand.
The introduction just steamrolls over the fact that overweight black women suffer disproportionate health problems and shortened life spans:
For centuries, the fat body has been vilified, surveilled, viewed as diseased and gluttonous, as well as characterized as risky and irresponsible. These negative misrepresentations are amplified for fat Black women. Yet, for centuries, fat Black women have resisted knowledge produced about them from outside their communities. Their own definitions of health, sport, nutrition, and beauty have been based on alternate epistemologies to dominant medicalized, Western knowledge systems.
I’m not sure fat black women have even existed “for centuries” in significant numbers. They’re a lot harder to find in East Africa than they are in Western countries where practically everyone is overweight. That aside, however, deciding a health problem isn’t a health problem via crude verbal gamesmanship is an amazingly infantile approach to a serious, widespread health concern.
But that’s Wokism—destroying things while leaving nothing but smoldering human and institutional ruins in its place.
The paper also mentions Mirna Valerio. In so doing it does a disservice to both Valerio and its own credibility: Valerio is actually a runner and everything Snell pretends to be, and the contrast between her and Snell (which requires looking beyond the article, but still) just demonstrates the willingness of the “research team” to use a thoroughgoing fraud as grant-money substrate.
Snell’s “career” is making Instagram videos about her made-up illnesses, enemies, and accomplishments and earning trips to races she then drops out of or ambles through at three miles per hour. She has lied about being sober, about her critics, everything. If she has any traditionally redeeming qualities, she has kept only herself and God in the loop, and God long ago began inserting a set of divinely impenetrable earplugs wherever this cretin starts yabbering.
Since 2019, thanks solely to being black, fat, gregarious, dishonest, and whiny—all owing to forces beyond her choosing— Snell, no more than a capering, umpleasant goon, has thrived. This is because the insanities of Wokism have inverted conventional ethical and moral norms from the top of the information chain to the most clearly unstable Instagram flabbiness-proponent.
You’ve all seen this unfolding everywhere. Members of the mass media who have lied for years about the coronavirus (the effectiveness of masking, covid “vaccine” safety and efficacy, the case fatality rate, the origins of the virus itself), Russiagate, rogue laptops, Ukraine, critical race theory, left-wing violence, the economy, and the intelligence services that effectively control them have done nothing but prosper, while legitimate fact-merchants from the medical, foreign-policy, and independent-media sector have been unpretentiously censored across topics and major platforms.
That’s where we are. Not only are liars richly rewarded—with these rewards cascading vertically downward from corporate DEI coffers and the Gates Foundation (which thrives on citizen strife) and upward toward America’s laughably corrupted and pointless college social-science departments—but anyone who calls attention to the obvious absurdities and damaging consequences is tabbed a hater and permanently sidelined.
I wrote over two years ago about Wokism being not an imperfect set of strategies for implementing necessary societal changes but the purest form of social arsonism that has ever taken root in the United States. And I don’t know how much more obvious it could be at this point how true that is.
Does anyone believe at this point that “trans inclusion” is anything more than an intentional degradation of female sports, which were on the ascendancy for years before Wokism and its coterie of resentful, sedentary old maids went after them? Do people genuinely think that men in wigs and lipsticks calling themselves “birthing people” represents progress for women in America? Is anyone convinced that after the compete defanging of big-city police departments, Americans of color being killed in growing and vastly disproportionate numbers was an unexpected consequence?
And does anyone really think that some motormouth ex-runner whose entire platform is “anti-whiteness” is seeking comity and deserves to be shuttled from one blinkered, click-happy, opportunistic running podcaster to the next?
All of these people are pretending to not be part of a problem; they all know.
People are widely fed up with this crap. But Wokish people anticipated this, which is why they have been using ruthless cancellation and harassment tactics from the c. 2019-2020 outset from their positions as administrators in demoralized organizations. People who do not have facts on their side have no choice but to operate like this to get what they want, and to ensure the stability of their reach, they have a lot of funding from people heavily invested in keeping thinking Americans from being able to distinguish truth from reality across vital topics.
This constant battering of the collective citizen mind—still obsequiously intent on thinking in terms of Democrats and Republicans—will come in handy in the next “pandemic,” when “vaccination” status will become linked to personal bank accounts and those who decline to be tabulated and injected any further wind up being “de-subsidized” by the government, with PayPal, Wells Fargo et al. as bagmen. It may take a few years, but that’s coming. “They” know people have gotten wise to the failure of the boosters if not the scope of their dangers, and the only way to get people to take the next round will be as close to physical force as the U.S. Government can get.
