People who have had or still have an eating disorder are more upset at someone like Ellie posting images of herself and claiming she’s curvier or bigger in any way after a few days or weeks of training differently. That’s the lie anyone can see through, and it’s hard to say if she’s fishing or if she truly believes it. If she’s trying to convince others she’s recovered and that it’s just fine to slide around on the ice with a foot injury, that’s a shitty move, but I fully believe that someone who’s struggling can’t really fool those who have been there.

It’s just selfish to place yourself in a position of any kind of recovery advocate and then post triggering content, but that’s the way social media is in general, nobody giving a shit about anyone else as long as a post gets a few likes or views!
