I enjoy your pieces. I'm a slow runner (1:33/3:20) and former media pro (newspaper) and get 100% of what you are saying. You are easier to read than other running outlets and speak of things on a higher level. A lot of wokishness is splintering everyone as bad as the Tea Partiers and other fringe elements. Also, a lot of media is afraid of losing access and clicks so nowadays they are trying to suck up to sources to keep their fame and connections afloat. Gone are the days of hard journalism, for fear of burning bridges.

The running industry is insular. I live in Columbus, Ohio, and see it even with Fleet Feet stores and their marathon programs--it's very cliquey and dominated by identity politics.
