Rosie is adorable! Your points about watches and treadmills are quite true in my experience. That's why I only run by minutes on ez days on a route I don't know the distance of, and don't use a gps watch. Another important thing is to avoid being tempted to run with others who DO insist on announcing and pushing the pace lol.
