Thanks for clarifying that it was a guest piece. Thank you to the author for deconstructing the ramblings of a married couple whose wife’s “scientific research program” relies on calling those who move at near-20 minute mile paces at the Boston Marathon “elite athletes”. Thank you for letting us laugh alongside commentary that many of us are thinking and speaking about as we read these pieces but cannot post aloud because of “cancel culture” and false cries of “bullying” and “harassment” for posting facts and opinions. To the elite, legitimate ultrarunner penning these pieces, I hope I get to say hello and a massive “thank you” to your face sometime. If not, feel free to know it is my sentiment here. (That wonderful response about “know your history” took the cake.)

Keep it coming, KB.

Thank you for taking the time to deconstruct another of his articles. I don't have the patience (haven't for a long time) because he goes from "maybe" to "absolutely" so many times in the same sentence it's as confusing as trying to follow a dog with a GPS's Strava track.

Thanks for the laughs. I stayed up "literally" too late for the shitshow.

> a race he has never run himself

Righto, he hasn't. He's just coached the 2019 woman's winner and 2022 Men's second place winner, truly no big deal

>lest anyone in his half-starved army of coaching clients catch wise.

Which includes john kelly, who also incidentally FKT'd Pennine under him

Its fine you don't like his writing style, but his attitude clearly works for the athletes under him. Maybe get on the scoreboard yourself before you go around calling him a hack
